On July 31, 2011 around 20:34 UT I tried to capture Comet C2010 X1 (Elenin) with my Astrotrac mount and the Canon EOS 40D with a Canon EF 200mm f/2.8 telephotolens. I thought I had failed because of the bright zodiakal light. Afterwards I learned that I still have captured this small comet. He stands on two shots, one of which failed by a tracking error. That leaves one pictured of 60 seconds, right in the zodiacal light. The comet is at the right undercorner.
