Locations:
Ermelo, the Netherlands (52.2 north, 5.4 east)
De Cocksdorp, Texel, the Netherlands (53.1 north, 4.9 east)
Revest du Bion, Provence, France (44.1 north, 5.5 east)

The year of 2013 was an average year in terms of observing meteors. Spring gave a reasonable number of clear nights. The eta Aquariids gave an outburst, which I could observe in the early morning of the 6th of May. I also could observe during two nights at the Dutch island of Texel, for a full report click here.
I observed the Perseids from Revest du Bion in southern France. This action was a huge success with more than 2000 meteors observed in 12 nights! For a full report and many pictures of meteors click here.
Unfortunately, after this campaign the year fizzled out, the remaining meteorstreams were barely observed because of the bad weather.

Picture 1: very clear and dark skies at the Dutch island of Texel. The milky way is bright.

Picture 2: Two meteors captured at Texel. Stars of the constellation of Aquila are visible.

Picture 4: Me observing meteors, I did see the bright Perseid in Cassiopeia!
